Irrisistable Iris.18th century Botanical prints, early 1900's antique postcards and photographs. Free clip art

Hi everyone,Welcome to my blog.
My thoughts and wishes for recovery
go out to everyone who have been affected by hurricane Irene. Not the happiest start for a post but it just had to be mentioned.
One of the good things today are the images in my post. My search for Iris pictures turned up some lovely ones. The antique botanical prints are always a favorite of mine. Several of these come in large sizes for framing. Just click on the image. Instant art for decorating!
A bee just came in my window! Jazzy, my cat already has her eye on it. Hope I get too it before she does!
This antique postcard was my inspiration for today's theme - Iris
I just love this one! A 18th century botanical print.

Probable from the late 1890's to early 1900's.

Antique tinted or painted french postcard.

As always these images are free clip art for your personal use. For altered art, collage and scrap booking.
Much love to you all, Louise

Flower Ladies Fantasy clip art for your projects Artists trading cards scrap booking and collage

Hi everyone, Today has been fantastic. The weather continues to be lovely and mild. Life is so much more comfortable when the temp is in the mid 70's. I have been sleeping better. Insomnia has been a chronic pattern so sleeping at night is much appreciated. And then today I have unearthed tons of new images and pictures for all of you. Very exciting! I just loved these and hope you can use them. Great costume ideas.

As much as I want to play some more it is bed time. So goodnight and much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

There is something about this picture that is quaint and lush. A little clump of flowers on the side of a forest path.It is very appealing to me.

A favorite photograph. This little one is so innocent looking. Wonder what she is thinking?
Just a sprig of soft  pink flowers.

A lady in a fine powdered wig. circa.1700's  Marie Antoinette's ladies in waiting, gossiping and disapproving of the poor girl! Love the soft muted colors.

I thought this fits the time of year. It has been a very cold year in the USA. Muffs, does anyone still use them?
Two pretty vintage postcards ready for your scrap booking and card making.

I am still amazed at the number of people who are visiting my blog. I enjoy it all the more knowing that you are using the images. Thank you for showing me the things you have created from my old family photographs. Well that is all for today. Much love to you all, Louise
