Antique cabinet photographs to share with you. Legacy 25% off sale this week.

Hi and welcome to everyone!
First the Legacy thrift store is having a 25% off sale all week. So if you are anywhere near Sonoma county and Sebastopol be sure and stop by.
Just stopped over to Carol Ann's boutique. My little blog looks so shabby and not very chic in comparison. I really need to work on my blog page. How does she and so many of you create such beautiful blogs?!!
One thing I can do is find pictures for you.Everyone needs new material to inspire and work with. It has been awhile since I have posted some antique cabinet photos.  That is the theme today.
I am feeling a blog posting frenzy coming on so there may be more for you later today!
Be sure and mention bumble button on your blogs. I am always interested in seeing what you have made using images from here.
What a dress!!

Of all the photos of little boys I have come across this by far has the most frills and lace!

I love this one. One of my favorites.
Thank you for your continued positive comments. Turning on the computer to see what you have to say is so fun.
Much love to you all, Louise

P.S. Requests are welcome.

Hi everyone, Today has been fantastic. The weather continues to be lovely and mild. Life is so much more comfortable when the temp is in the mid 70's. I have been sleeping better. Insomnia has been a chronic pattern so sleeping at night is much appreciated. And then today I have unearthed tons of new images and pictures for all of you. Very exciting! I just loved these and hope you can use them. Great costume ideas.

As much as I want to play some more it is bed time. So goodnight and much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

Free Jane Austen Regency Fashion Costume Plates, Engravings, Paintings from late 1700- 1820's

Greetings and Welcome to everyone!
This post is in celebration of Jane Austen and the Regency Era. After a bit of searching I was able to come up with some fantastic images for you.  A few are perfect for framing, instant art to adorn your boudoir. Please enjoy them and hopefully they will find their way into your homes and projects. The fashion plates are a good reference for historic  period  clothing.Everyone wants a new gown for your next Jane Austen gathering!

The following two lovely portraits have elaborate hair styles from the period.

Along with "Pinkie" and "Blue Boy" and the one above, these pictures adorned a wall in our dining room when I was growing up.. Maybe that is why I am so attracted to them. The Huntington Library in So California was one of my favorite art museums.

Laundress needed! Think of all the linen and clothing a family with children would need!

I think this is a painting of Jane Austen as a child.

Learning to "fan"?

Off to church or an event in town.
The following pictures are from antique postcards.

Enjoy and have fun creating!
Love, Louise

Just a quick post, Victorian litle girls with kitten, Late 1890 Girls Dress, Portrait of a beautifully dressed woman.

Thursday afternoon was a beautiful day because of the sunshine and I went to my little shop. It was such a treat to visit with some of the gals.My drawer was not overflowing with new button donations, but there are some pretty ones. Someone loved fabric covered buttons and saved them off their vintage clothing. Now I wonder what they were going to sew them on next?

Luscious fancy Edwardian dress.
Love this pretty white dress!!! Samantha, the American Girl doll from the same period  needs this dress. I have an antique baby dress that  has beautiful white work or eyelet that would be perfect. Much of it is not in the best condition but it is still very hard to cut. Wonder who was the sweet baby it was made for.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely Sunday, Louise
