Gorgeous antique French postcards with tiny rose buds and violets. Free Victorian and Edwardian era

French antique postcards! Victorian and Edwardian era clip art.
How feminine and elegant some of these are. Then there are the sweet rose buds. All have been spruced up so that they can be used for labels, cards, scrap booking frames. Business cards? Now that is a good idea! Can't believe I didn't think of that sooner.

This one is perfect for weddings

Sweet little pussy willows and rose buds.

I really like this one because it is so different than other pictures I find.

Is this incredible or what?

More violets very art nouveau.
Now on to the next post. Enjoy and create something beautiful, Louise

Illustrations from a vintage French child's nursery rhyme book. Free clip art for you.

A second post in one day just because you are all so nice!
There may even be a third one of birds and nests.
Remember your requests are welcome. It would be so fun to look for it.
I also thought it was time to move out of the 18th century. A light and cheerful feeling of illustrations from a vintage child's book seemed perfect.
The pic's of the day are from a french nursery rhyme book. Very 1920's-30's. Many of you are fond of the genre so there are 15 pictures for you to have as free clip art. Right click and you will have a large pictures for instant art to frame.

The poodle and fiends are so cute to me.Especially the one who is so happy running along.

This just had to be made into a label for you.

I am sure this sweet baby was listed before. It is included since it came from the book.
There you have it, another batch of free clip art. Hope they find their way into one of your projects.
Much love to each and everyone of you. You brighten my day.

Marie Antoinette and portraits of beautifully clothed women circa late 1700's

Wait till you see what I have for you today!!
It has been a very successful hunt for images the last few days. My computer is going to burst or just continue to slow down. There are so many beautiful pictures that I can't help it. Fine art paintings from late 1700's to 1800's. mostly. The theme is;
incredible clothing
 beautiful women,
beautifully painted
and
Marie Antoinette in an unbelievable crazy fancy dress.
A little some thing for anyone who sews historic costumes.
Be sure and right click to bring up a larger version.
I love this one. She is so pretty and her outfit is scrumptious.

Not really sure what is going on. Pigeons in the house? The chair? But the dress is perfect.

There goes the clothing allowance!  No wonder a lady always had a fan. This must be so hot to wear. All the material in the dress and all the under garments must be heavy.

I was drawn to this one by the color and opulent setting.
A few more.

Glad you stopped by. Love, Louise

Romantic French and English Paintings of women of the late 1700's Ladies of the 18th century from antique postcards and prints

Romantic portraits of 18th century ladies. Elegant and well dressed they are most certainly women of leisure in the late 1700's.  These lovely paintings are from antique postcards and prints. If they are paintings of real individuals or just the artist imagination I can not say. The large powdered hair arrangements seem very French and maybe contemporaries of Marie Antoinette. The top two are my favorites.

Hope you enjoyed your visit and please come again.
Much love to you all, Louise

Classic French Black and White Labels and Frames Free clip art for ATC collage scrap booking.

Hi ! Today I have some formal and classical images. All are from old theater programs. Late 1890's to early 1920's.The crown one is French and perfect for labels. I can just see it on old bottles. Also I know that crowns are popular.
I separated out the different elements from an old title page. How fun to use in scrap booking, collage and as labels.

Antique tinted photographs,1700's clothing and costumes,A sweet baby, free for your clip art needs.

Good afternoon to you all! Welcome.
I really like the pictures of the day(or should I say week). My treasure trove of images continues to grow. Cleaning them up and searching for new ones is a just a tad addicting. Your responses have been so encouraging and an inspiration. The fact that I actually have a blog is settling in as the months go by. The number of visitors everyday continues to grow. But this will always be a blog free of advertising. My goal continues to be providing free pictures, images and photographs. Who doesn't like to find something for free!
Yesterday morning I actually felt better when i woke up!!! Same thing this morning. How this bug has held on is crazy. I have never been sick for weeks on end. I am sooo anxious to get into the Legacy! It is always the best to see what has been donated and hopefully my drawer is not too stuffed. Besides feeling crummy, many of the volunteers are seniors and it has been important to not expose any of them to my virus. So I have missed my little shop for weeks now.
Ladies from the 1700's in their beautiful dresses or costumes. I have been collecting similar cards with the muted colors and lovely period clothing.
Sweet little girl! Turn of the century with swallows which seems to be the bird of choice for so many of the images from that period.
More muted colors. I feel in love with this baby.
Contrast of black and creams and the 1700'speriod clothing are  a favorite.
This vintage picture, from an old postcard. The first I have seen that has so many colors and a yellow background. Most have only a few colors.
Just a sweet little card.
And a sweet little girl.
I just love the outfit on the woman. A dancer maybe? Two antique tinted photographs.
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy! Much love as always, Louise
